Help Choosing Heater Hire

To choose the right heater from the wide range available, you can ask yourself a few simple questions.

Which of the following statements describes the space you need to heat?

1. It's a big space and the ventilation is good in our shop / workshop / showroom / factory / marquee / warehouse. (This suggests a direct gas or paraffin/diesel Blow heater may be suitable).

2. It's a big space with little ventilation in our shop / workshop / showroom / factory / marquee / warehouse. (This suggests an indirect gas or paraffin/diesel Blow heater may be suitable).

3. It's a large room and we have a 3 phase electric supply in our shop / workshop / showroom / factory / marquee / warehouse. (This suggests a 3 phase electric heater may be suitable).

4. It's a space where we need spot heating for staff or customers in our shop / workshop / showroom / factory / marquee / warehouse. (This suggests an Infra Red, gas or electric heater may be suitable)

5. It's a normal size room or we need to supplement the existing heating in our office / classroom / shop / workshop / showroom / factory / marquee / warehouse. (This suggests a small gas or electric heater may be suitable).

Two or more units can be used for larger areas. Additional capacity (approximately 20%) may be required if the room is uninsulated.

Direct Gas or Paraffin Blow Heaters for hire

Direct gas or paraffin heaters burn the fuel and blow the heat directly into the room with an electric fan. These are high power heaters with easy set up, connect an LPG cylinder (gas) or fill with fuel (paraffin) and plug into a standard 13 amp supply.

The exhaust gas from combustion is blown into the room so good ventilation is required.

All oil heaters can be modified to run on diesel or paraffin prior to delivery.

Indirect Gas or Paraffin Blow Heaters for Hire

Indirect Gas or Paraffin Heaters have a heat exchanger, clean, hot air is blown into the building with an electric fan. Exhaust gasses can be vented outside the building on the gas option, diesel units can be positioned outside and the hot air ducted in. These are high power heaters with easy set up, connect an LPG cylinder (gas) or fill with fuel (paraffin) and plug into a standard 13 amp supply. Enquire now about ducting and venting options.

These heaters provide clean air and no naked flames.

All paraffin heaters can be modified to run on diesel prior to delivery.

Infra Red Heaters

These heaters provide heat in the form of Infra Red energy. This energy heats people and objects, not the surrounding air. This makes them ideal for draughty areas or for spot heating in large spaces.

As Infra Red heaters work in a different way to standard heaters, room size is less important. Heating from the electric H12 can be effective up to 6m away. Infra Red heating from the gas H130 is effective over much greater distances. Fuel combustion is assisted by forced air and exhaust fumes can be vented outside.

Electric Fan Heaters

Electric fan heaters provide clean and dry hot air, on larger models the heat can be ducted to exactly where it is needed. The heat output can be switched down from the maximum output. Smaller models can be plugged into standard sockets, large heaters require hard wiring by a qualified electrician.
